Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch debuted its latest animated short, this time focused on Mei. Titled “Rise and Shine”, it tells the story of Mei, Ecopoint Antarctica and the fate of her science team. How did Mei escape and eventually make her way the outside world, back to Overwatch? Overwatch has a ton of new content coming up in the next few months. Along with the new Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes, as well as a new map called Château Guillard, players have the new Junkertown Escort map to look forward to. Blizzard will also be making changes to heroes like Junkrat, Orisa and Roadhog. D.Va will also be seeing some changes with the addition of micro-missiles and Defense Matrix being fairly nerfed.
While Junkertown has been described as coming “very, very soon”, there’s still no ETA on when the current PTR patch will go live. Stay tuned for more information in the meantime along with updates from Gamescom.
