A few days ago we reported that a new firmware update for the PlayStation 4 will probably be released by the end of next month. This piece of information was revealed by industry insider Tidux who has a decent track record as far as firmware update goes. However it seems that he has more information regarding a recently released firmware update i.e. 2.04.

Tidux revealed the firmware update 2.04 has hidden features and updates for the developers, and it was released silently by Sony. According to him, Sony thinks that there was no reason to reveal these hidden features and update to the general public as it was a performance update aimed for developers. Tidux is not aware about every hidden feature this firmware update has but he did revealed that they were related to improvements on PS4’s SDK.

And lastly he revealed that Sony has a complete list of all the features that users want but they also have a few features in development that a common user cannot think of.  As usual take this piece of information with a grain of salt as it’s coming from an industry insider and not through official sources.
