Hohokum is a an upcoming video game under development at Honeyslug Studios for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. The game puts the player in the role of a serpent creature called the “Long Mover”. GamingBolt recently got the chance to interview Ricky Haggett from Honeyslug Games and Richard Hogg who is collaborating with the game’s development.

Given that they are working on the PlayStation 4 for a while now, we asked them about their experience with Sony’s console and whether they came across any kind of limitations.

“It’s pretty much a dream to develop for because it’s just got so much memory and it’s so fast,” Ricky explains. “We don’t really have any issues at all with performance on PS4, so it’s amazing. It just lets us throw as much art and animation as we could ever really want to. It’s fantastic.”

Richard chipped in with his thoughts adding “it’s funny, because as a gamer I don’t really care about performance. Most of the games I play run on any standard old laptop, because that’s the sort of games I’m interested in, I guess. However, as someone making a game we really appreciate, even for a game like ours that you wouldn’t look at and you wouldn’t think is particularly taxing, that we can have so much art and animation.”

“The PS4 side of things has been super smooth. Obviously trying to fit all of the art and animation onto PS3 and PC has taken more doing than on PS4. PS4 is a huge leap up in terms of what it can do,” Ricky added.

Hohokum is due this summer. Stay tuned for more news and updates.

This is just a snippet of our interview with Honeyslug Games and we will have more in the coming days.

LMFAO!!! Indie devs praising the indie box. Have fun Sony Ponies your low budget trashy indies games this gen.

    • ps4lol

      You are evil.

PS4 has the superior version of all console AAA multiplats, more dev support including indies, a large number of first party studios, free to play games and MMOs like FFXIV and Warframe, and unannounced 1st party games (Gran Turismo, God of War, Media Molecule, Quantic Dream, etc.) Titanfall 2 and future 3rd party games will almost certainly be on PS4.

PS4 games not on Xbox One: Killzone, inFamous Second Son, Dynasty Warriors 8, Final Fantasy XIV, Warframe, DC Universe, Yakuza Isshin and other Japanese games, MLB 14 The Show, Bound by Flame, Injustice Gods Among Us, Knack, Natural Doctrine, Transistor, Planetside 2, Dragon Ball Z, MotoGP, Deep Down, Driveclub, The Last of Us, The Witness, The Order, and a ton of indies including Resogun and Transistor

Recently Sony has filed trademarks or had leaks for no less than 6 games. Entwined, Kill Strain, Blood Borne, Dark Chronicles, Project Beast and Guns Up. Expect a big E3 reveal of new games.

Oh look it’s PS4lol we all know he has never been laid and he post his own repeated copy and paste of himself in every thread.

    • ps4lol

You sound upset that PS4 has more powerful hardware, more developer support, a large number of 1st party studios, and is outselling Xbox by ~3 million. Keep shilling and spinning while everyone else ignores you and buys more PS4s.

It’s good to know you’re completely wrong and raging against facts and reality, and nothing you say will happen. I’m constantly right, you’re constantly wrong.

    • ME3X12

You are the biggest joke on the internet you copy and paste your same BS in every thread. How bout you try to get laid.

    • jent

He is not wrong about your copy and paste tactic. It doesn’t make what you paste false, just repetitive.

Meanwhile on topic, I am not surprised that an indie developer is praising the PS4. The kinds of power needed to play most indie games is significantly less than a AAA title. I don’t fully understand why Gamingbolt continues with such articles. Now if the makers of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare were to come out saying these same things then that would be news-worthy.

    • You Are Flat Out Wrong & Salty

Sony ‘bribes’ indie devs by giving away the PS4s, so they must have praised something in return….Lollll

Telling truth =/= upset, let the ponies falling in damage control mode 😉

You are a flat out pauper. A complete LOSER at real life hanging around the internet all day defending your $0N¥ pauperbrick, which was the only thing you could afford. Poor pathetic little NeoFAG B*tch!

    • Ippoletta

Lol it’s so obvious that these devs are being told what to say. more BS pr for sony. it’s nausiating.

    • Guest

$0N¥ ever delaying PauperStation = Lies, Overhype and UnderDeliver. They aim to attract the low IQ paupercrowd, like ps4lol, and think they can get away with it.

    • Neil Riley

      meanwhile on XB1…. nothing.

    • Neil Riley

Seriously though, this gen will be all about the Indies as much as AAA.

Both Sony and MS have acknowledged this fact so your statement just makes you appear immature.

  • Rowan Roy

I am not agree with that because of
