Rise of the Tomb Raider (6)

Remember that gameplay video from Crystal Dynamics’ Rise of the Tomb Raider which showed Lara Croft running around and murdering Special Ops soldiers? This time around, the developer released an alternative playthrough which answers a pivotal question – is it possible to run through this section without killing a single enemy? As it turns out, it is. Check it out below.

Rise of the Tomb Raider has a fair number of stealth elements in it. Lara can throw objects like bottles to create distractions and slink past guards quietly (with the automatic shift into cover returning). She can also shoot arrows to draw the attention of guards though there’s a fair bit of split-second timing involved in many of these sequences. And as the dev states in the video, there will be some circumstances where killing is unavoidable.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will be out on November 10th for Xbox One and Xbox 360. It releases in early 2016 for Windows 10 and Holiday 2016 for PS4.
