Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem Receives New Gameplay Trailer

Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem collide in a Persona-like environment.

Along with more information on the new Fire Emblem, Nintendo also revealed a new gameplay trailer for Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, the crossover title being developed collaboratively by Atlus and Intelligent Systems. Check it out above.

Despite Fire Emblem’s turn based strategy origins, Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem looks to be more in line with the Persona series. It features anime cut-scenes and a combat system that indicates the different turns player characters and enemies will take in a battle, thus allowing you to plan out in advance. It’s also interesting to note that it will be coming to the Wii U.

Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem will be releasing in Q3/Q4 2015 for Japan but there’s currently no set release date for North America or Europe. What are your thoughts on the gameplay trailer? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information in the coming months.
