A user has sent this amazing comparison to us, showing the evolution of Dungeons from Oblivion to Skyrim.

As you can see from the image above, the dungeons in Skyrim look more realistic and atmospheric compared to the ones found in Oblivion.

Skyrim is one of the most amazing games that we have played this year and we are taking our time with our review. Stay tuned for that sometime this week.

A few days back we did an article on the visual evolution of The Elder Scrolls, which you can check over here.

Thanks, Ravish.

  • this is apples vs oranges here. its an interior rock environment vs exterior forest scene. i fail to see the improvements over oblivion.

  • sorry to bring you down abner but the one in skyrim is actually a cave. It’s just that it has a crack in the ceiling.

    • abner is right. I know Skyrim looks better, but those are different environments. What does a cave WITH OUT a crack in the ceiling look like.

This is an unfair comparison. A cave ??? HAHAHA I dont see any stalactites.

  • cloudenvy, have you seen the caves WITH an opening at the top in Oblivion? I have. And it looks like a hole of light coming from the top.

The caves in skyrim are more realistic but the dungeons aren’t… They look like caves. Oblivions got that med-evil look to the dungeons.
