Skyrim 1.9 patch detailed, features a Legendary Difficulty and Legendary Skills

Bethesda has just rolled out a beta build of the 1.9 Update for Syrim, and it comes with an intriguing set of new features that should drastically alter the end game.

The patch brings a “Legendary Difficulty” to the table and an increased level cap of 100. In addition to that, skills at 100 can be made “legendary”, which will reset the skill to 15, similar to the Prestige system found in Call of Duty. However, you still retain the perks letting you develop the skill even further.

• Within your Steam Library, right click on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
• Select Properties
• Select the Beta tab and opt in using the drop box

Just be sure not to save over your existing files and ensure a backup before you dive in.

The update also brings in a slew of bug fixes which is detailed at the Bethesda Blog. The update will be available for consoles as well sometime later this month.
