Could this be the name of the second game?

Sony has apparently filed a new trademark for something called ‘Days Gone;’ the trademark is for a new game (or an online game), and it was filed on December 28.

Not much else is actually known about the trademark, but just the name throws up some interesting possibilities- could this, for instance, be related to a new The Last of Us game? The name certainly seems like something that would fit that IP (bonus trivia: the pilot episode of The Walking Dead TV series was called Days Gone Bye; The Walking Dead and The Last of Us, of course, share many thematic similarities). Could we be looking at the subtitle for the next The Last of Us game?

Even if so, we might be pretty far out from the official announcement- Naughty Dog is currently involved in finishing up their long awaited (and delayed) Uncharted 4, and it’ll probably be a while before The Last of Us 2 is released.

Of course, there is also the possibility that Days Gone is something else entirely, a brand new IP- in which case, the question is, what is it?

Microsoft have one in the works also, it’s called “Don’s gone” and is about a post-apocalyptic console announcement where all the joy of gaming was leeched out by the head speaker at the time.

He got fired but now haunts the rancid, decaying remains of the city of Xbox looking for any surviving 1080p 60fps software to shoot in the head before it has chance to spoil the promise of sport, sport, sport, tv, tv, sport, sport and tv.

Could be a sequel to The Last OF Us but we’ll if has anything to do with new an IP containing only online features. Plus, I feel that it’s too early for Naughty Dog to announce a sequel at E3 but let’s see what the future holds.
