Tekken 7 Video Unveils Eddy Gordo As Playable Fighter

The Capoeira fighter returns.

Bandai Namco’s Tekken 7 will feature Eddy Gordo, the legendary Capoeira fighter that was first introduced to the series in Tekken 3. Gordo will be playable in the upcoming sequel and you can take a gander at his reveal trailer below.

Gordo’s beef with the Mishima Zaibatsu is pretty straightforward – he took the help of Jin Kazama to aid his ill master. This lead to Gordo using his skills for Jin’s benefit but when the Mishima’s technology couldn’t save his master, Eddy decided to take vengeance on the entire family. That means going up against leader Kazuya Mishima himself.

Given how similar he was to new character Christie in Tekken 6: Dark Resurrection, the evolution of Eddy’s fighting style in Tekken 7 should be worth a look. Tekken 7 will be arriving for PC, Xbox One and PS4 on June 2nd.

What are your thoughts on Eddy’s inclusion? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information in the coming months.
