The Elder Scrolls 6 May Have High-End Graphics After All

Or, the new hire could be aimed at a remastered Skyrim.

While we’re still mostly having to guess at what Elder Scrolls 6 is going to bring, a recent job listing might be tipping Bethesda’s hand a little bit. The company is looking for a brand new Graphics Programmer that is going to be working on a new RPG. The company obviously hasn’t specifically listed The Elder Scrolls 6 as the game this programmer will be working on, but reasonable minds can leap to that conclusion based on the comments about what kind of game the company is looking to find work for.

It’s possible of course, that the search for a graphics programmer that can help Bethesda get to the “bleeding edge” of graphics doesn’t mean they are looking to make those graphics for a new version of Elder Scrolls. There is a chance the new position could actually be looking for work to be done on the long rumored remastered version of Skyrim. There has been a lot of talk lately that Bethesda might go that route before they choose to make a whole other addition to the title.

In typical Bethesda fashion, the company isn’t talking yet about the next entry in The Elder Scrolls series. We simply don’t know what this position is going to be working on. Perhaps its exciting enough for now that Bethesda is making a new RPG considering just how good Fallout 4 was, even with a few shortcomings here and there. It seems likely that Bethesda will fill in some of the blanks as we get closer to E3 this June.
