Jonathan Blow’s The Witness still doesn’t have a release date but development is proceeding very well. Blow recently offered an official update to reveal that the puzzles in the game – all 677 of them – are complete.

“On Friday we officially reached the Puzzle Complete milestone. This means that all puzzles that will be in the game when it ships are in the game now.”

Sadly, there’s still plenty of work to be done on the rest of the game. “It is now much more about turning the finish-the-game crank (making sure stuff plays well and polishing it up) for anything related to game design, modelling and texturing.”

It also seems that work must be done on the story and menu system as well. The Witness will be heading to PS4, PC and iOS. Hopefully it’s out this year and won’t be delayed further. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months on the same.
