xbox one update

The Xbox One is getting a major firmware update this month, one which adds multiple new features (a lot of them oriented towards continuing to make the Xbox One a more social experience), brings back older ones which fans have been requesting for, and which also performs some general housekeeping along the way

I gotta say, I am impressed- each time I think they must be out of features to add to the Xbox One dashboard by now, they surprise me. Among the list of new (and old!) features coming to the Xbox One with this new update (which will be made available starting tomorrow) are the ability to organize your pins, and to use them offline; a Gamerscore leaderboard; the ability to join a friend’s Twitch broadcast; the ability to see who is in a Party before you join it; a new shortcut to redeem your code in the Xbox Store; the ability to hide games and software from the ‘Ready to Install’ list; and a new Avatar store.

It seems to be a very thorough update, all designed to continue making Microsoft’s new console as pleasant to use as is possible. It will be available tomorrow, while the Xbox app itself will be ready to update starting today.
