IO Interactive has taken us behind the scenes for almost every aspect of 007 First Light, including the narrative, music, and more. However, its latest trailer is a neat overview of everything that players can expect in terms of gameplay. Check it out below.

If you watched the State of Play reveal for First Light, you’ll probably remember Bond’s various tricks of the trade. Every environment presents different opportunities for obtaining information, whether you’re talking to bartenders or eavesdropping on conversations. From there, you can choose to sneak around, walk through the front door using Bond’s charms to bypass security, or a combination of both.

Of course, you can also rely on gadgets. The smartphone surreptitiously hides tranquilizer darts, perfect for knocking out foes, while the watch is a laser that can also remotely shut off security cameras. If everything goes south, License to Kill is active, which means Bond will have to shoot his way out.

When you’re in the mood for upgrades, head to Dr Selena Tan in TAXIN. This is perhaps the most notable part of the trailer, as you can partake in challenges with different rules, like dealing with powerful enemies with an optional dash of not firing bullets. Success grants Intel to purchase new weapons upgrade gadgets (including one that allows the laser to remove an enemy’s armor and helmet), or pick up new outfits. There are even leaderboards for competing against other players.

IO Interactive also confirms that more challenges will be added over time, though it will reveal further details later. 007 First Light launches on May 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC with the Nintendo Switch 2 version out this Summer. Pre-order now and you get the Deluxe Edition for free, complete with 24 hours of early access and other goodies.
