After horrifying many fans, potential and otherwise, by recommending 32 GB RAM to play 007 First Light in 1080p/60 FPS on PC, IO Interactive has released an updated spec sheet. It’s now 16 GB, with the amount of VRAM also dropping from 12 to 8 GB.

There’s good news on the Minimum Requirements side as well – you’ll now only need 6 GB VRAM to play in 1080p/30 FPS. The amount of RAM remains unchanged, but now only an Intel Core i5-9500 is necessary instead of a Core i5-9500K.

Regarding the sudden change, IO Interactive revealed that an “internal miscommunication” caused an “older version” of the specifications to be released. Following the community “flagging” some “inconsistencies” – a nice way of saying that it freaked out at the requirements – the team performed a “thorough re-examination and additional testing.” The updates are now live across all storefronts.

Fans can also look forward to “additional performance targets” near launch, which probably means we’ll learn more about the graphics options. IOI could also reveal details on 4K, Ultra and ray tracing requirements (especially if DLSS 4 is enabled), among other things.

007 First Light launches on May 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, having been delayed from its earlier March date. The other major announcement for the action-adventure title was at The Game Awards 2025, showcasing Lenny Kravitz as a new villain, Bawma.
