We’ll put another Valve franchise in here, because it’s one that many of you are obviously thinking about. Left 4 Dead maybe has a better chance of coming back than Portal does, owing to the fact that it has greater mass appeal, but again, the chances of that happening, at least anytime soon, are quite slim, if that. It’s known for a fact that a Left 4 Dead 3 is something that Valve has tried to get off the ground in the past, though that project got ultimately shelved- which is more than enough as indications go about what the future holds for the franchise. There have been several Left 4 Dead clones over the years that have tried to replicate the success of Valve’s franchise, including last year’s Back 4 Blood, but nothing has quite been able to scratch that itch. It’s more than a little disappointing that the itch will remain unscratched for quite some time.
