CONTROL
Control is probably the best game Remedy Entertainment have ever made. That’s no small praise- this is a studio that’s made Max Payne, Max Payne 2, Alan Wake – but Control’s just that good. The constantly mysterious cloak and daggers of the Oldest House make for not only one of the best settings we’ve seen in games in a long time, it also makes for engaging exploration. Juggling the unique Service Weapon with Jesse’s arsenal of telekinetic abilities makes combat and traversal an absolute blast, and all of it is underpinned by an excellent written and masterfully told story full of mystery, intrigue, and purposeful ambiguity.
