Death Stranding is an odd game that can be really difficult to explain the merits of, but just a little time with it instantly conveys its strengths to the player. From its striking imagery to its incredibly compelling and addictive gameplay loop, from its amazing atmosphere to its intricately dense mechanics, from how unique it is to its typically stylistic and off-the-rails narrative, Death Stranding is entirely unlike anything else on the market. It manages to successfully blaze a new trail, and that’s something that has become exceptionally rare to see in recent years.
