7) Taking the wrong path

There’s nothing worse than passing the point of no return; making a decision mid-game that locks out later missions or achievements, and being unable access them unless you start over absolutely sucks. Auto save doesn’t help matters either – meaning you can’t even reload your game file! Completely missing a quest or failing to save the life of a character you’ve spent hours powering up can prove really irritating. And what about misusing a vital power up or special attack just before a major boss battle? Having to fight them with your bare hands rather than a super powered laser with grenade attachment does not make for happy gaming. And then there are skill trees – how many times have you put all your points towards the wrong upgrades and regretted it?
