Rust
When you’re watching a number of personalities building a community in Rust and starting wars, it can be enthralling. Playing Rust, however, is a different story. It was a fairly big deal at launch due to the sheer Wild West nature of it all as you started out with less than nothing, befriended other players, betrayed them in cold blood and did everything possible to survive in this new, unorthodox and buggy environment. Having a group made all the difference though and it wouldn’t be long before solo players stood less and less of a chance, especially when their access to firearms is limited. With the sheer amount of work required to build things up and maintain them, not to mention the threat of other players coming along and ruining it all, Rust just feels like a constant uphill battle with little to no pay-off. And that’s not even taking into account issues with cheaters.
