7. Mortal Kombat: Finish him! FATALITIES!

In 1994 Mortal Kombat shocked the gaming world with blood and graphic fighting. What really takes the cake for pushing the limit are indeed fatalities. When your opponent is beaten and helpless, the player is able to preform a finishing move to completely obliterate his or her enemy. There was actually a congressional hearing held for the violence in Mortal Kombat.

6. Manhunt 2 banned everywhere

Rockstar Studios are notorious for making games that have complete disregard for what anyone thinks is considered okay to put in games. Manhunt and Manhunt 2 have been banned in more than 5 countries for violence. The absolutely gruesome kill scenes that Manhunt and Manhunt 2 has, make it one of the most hardcore killing based games ever.

5. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas “Hot coffee”

Having conducted a heap of controversy just being Rockstar, the Hot Coffee feature didn’t help them out at all. Hot Coffee was a phenomena that occurred when you would be invited into your girlfriends house for some “Hot Coffee” you would them be able to essentially engage in sexual acts. This was later removed from versions of them game after anti violence and sexual content game enthusiasts considered it highly unacceptable.

4. Resident Evil 5 is Racist?

With racial sensitivity at its peaks, Resident Evil 5 gets a whole mess of flak for the trailers of one white person mowing down crowds of African zombies in Africa. A 2005 United Nations report cited “profound discrimination of a cultural and historical nature” in Japan. It does feature Caucasian and African zombies, but predominantly African. Many have said Capcom may have been a little insensitive to how others would perceive this type of thing.
