Blazkowicz Decapitated – Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
Wolfenstein games aren’t exactly lauded for their realism and MachineGames’ titles are no different. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus continued to keep things dangerously campy with gratuitous violence, explosions and lots of shooting. However, where things quickly went off the rails is when B.J. Blazkowicz is captured, sentenced in front of millions, and beheaded. Yes, beheaded – chopped clean off. But not to worry because B.J.’s friends catch his head as it falls from the execution site (it was a long drop) and attach it to a Nazi super-soldier body that they just happened to have lying around. Insanely dumb and borderline impossible? Sure but then you travel to Venus to help shut down an automated defense system. Unfortunately, things would get dumber and not so okay in Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
