The Legions – Astral Chain
In Astral Chain, you play as a cop in the task force known as Neuron. Seems simple. Except your “task” is to command beings called Legions to take out Chimera invading from another dimension. Oh and those Legion come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, from the Beast Legion which can be used for tracking and digging up things to the Sword Legion who slices, dices and…hugs people to cure them of corruption? Strange as it may be, the Legions make for some incredibly fun combat and exploration. You could use the Arrow Legion to fire from a distance, unchain it to battle on its own, ride the Beast Legion to close the distance and then pummel foes with a quick flurry of punches using the Arm Legion. The story may be somewhat of a wash but sometimes, it’s good to just go with the flow and experience some good ol’ PlatinumGames action.
