10. Mirror's Edge
The City of Mirror's Edge was visually striking, presenting a veritable playground for the free-running mechanics championed by the game. What a shame then that the original title lost it half way through and shoved you into increasingly cramped corridors. If Mirror's Edge 2 makes it out of production, an open world would solve the problem of corridor level design, opening up to let the game's unique free-running take centre stage.
