THE WITCHER 3
It’s always hard to properly do meaningful choice and consequence mechanics in games, but it’s even harder when you’re doing it on the scale that The Witcher 3 did. There’s just so much of that game that one can easily miss playing through to completion just one. Again, the long runtime is obviously something that does prevent replays for many, but if you do find the time, it can be a very rewarding experience to see how significantly plotlines can diverge based on the choices you make. Meanwhile, if you decide to do a replay on higher difficulties, you’re likely going to end up engaging with the game’s otherwise lackluster combat mechanics on a much deeper level.
