Far Cry 2

Far Cry was one of the most lauded PC titles back when it debuted in 2004, and this was largely due to its ambitious open ended levels. Its sequel took this a step further and, whilst it had its fair share of problems, it created a beautiful open-world that the player was left to explore. Far Cry 2 definitely looked the part, and its pseudo-realistic weapon and vehicle degradation made its environment feel all the more real.
