Crysis 2
Whilst Crysis 2 is a stellar FPS title, it is begrudgingly that I place it at the crown of this list. There are other games on this list that lose out to Crysis 2's environments just because its visuals are so damn accomplished. Despite Crysis 2 using just its brute graphical force to get here, there is no doubt that its environments look nothing short of incredible. Though the jungle and arctic environments of its predecessor win out in terms of variety, there is something about the crumbling city-scape of Crysis 2 that looks very engaging. The incredible draw distance and physics are complemented by a silky smooth frame rate that make Crysis 2 incredibly easy on the eyes. The fact that it runs on consoles as well also means that its gorgeous looks can charm a wider demographic of gamers. The next generation has already landed.
