6. Sonic the Hedgehog:
Everyone’s favorite blue, speedy hedgehog has seen better days since Sega stopped making consoles. Even with this in mind though, this feisty little mammal is without a doubt a classic favorite out there and ranks amongst the most recognizable characters in gaming ever. While we probably won’t ever be seeing Sega releasing another console, and the hay days of Sonic battling Dr. Robotnik being over we’re never going to forget that fuzzy little rocket. Sonic has saved more small, cute little animals from a life of robotic slavery than any organization and with more style too. In a lot of ways he was our first introduction to animal rights.
