The supposed late 2013 release date of the Xbox 720 was set back some time ago by a manufacturing delay. One of the chip manufacturers was unable to provide the necessary components in good time (or so it was reported), resulting in the predicted release slipping into next year. It's the luck of the draw some would say, but it would seem MS' choice in hardware may not have been the best one.
