Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance
Korea based developer NcSoft plans to release Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance in 2014 provided their strategic plans to launch Blade and Soul later this year are successful. New to the series is the Drag and Hold manipulation gameplay which has garnered attention ever since it was first revealed in 2011. The developers have also revealed three classes for the game which are Knight, Mage and Spirit Archer. If you are a fan of NcSoft’s ‘lineage’ then you should keep an eye out for Twilight Resistance.
After Thoughts:
It is an exciting time for Massive Multiplayer titles. The old guard titles like WoW and Lineage have more than run their course. There aren’t really any standout MMO titles to replace the old favorites yet either. While there are a few that are trying, nothing seems to match up to the popular titles as far as new gameplay and server population is concerned.
Some of these new titles are also being released on multiple platforms which is kind of a first for consoles and will really help to drive the market for new and advanced MMO titles. We still do have a bit to wait for, so don’t get your hopes up too much. Chances are with all the new ideas in this genre, there will be a little something for everyone.
