FINAL FANTASY XV- BACK WHEN IT WAS VERSUS XIII

Final Fantasy Versus XIII was in development for over a decade, and only came out last year as Final Fantasy XV. The development changed directions quite a lot of time, many times quite drastically, and as such, Final Fantasy XV was understandably quite different from the vision the developers had originally had in mind. That said, this was still the same story, with the same characters and largely the same themes, despite a number of major shifts and changes, which is why it’s so disappointing that so many of the excellent cutscenes we saw in the trailers for Versus XIII didn’t make it into Final Fantasy XV. Given the fact that the game was in development for many, many years, it stands to reason that a lot may have changed over that period of time, and thankfully enough, Final Fantasy XV was a great game despite all of its issues. Even so, it would have been great to see all those cutscenes we expected to see in the final game itself.
