DARK SOULS 2

One of the reasons Dark Souls II often receives the kind of criticism from its fans that it does, though, is the fact that it went through a major, major visual downgrade in the build up to its launch. The trailers for the game, as well as the Looking Glass Knight demo, looked majestic and beautiful, with incredible visual polish and great attention to detail. When the game launched, though, the gap in the visual quality of the demo and the final product was astonishing. It almost looked like a generational leap- only in the wrong direction. Dark Souls II still wasn’t a bad looking game by any means, but it’s fair to say that the trailers and footage we saw prior to its launch were hardly representative of what the final product would look like.
