Many criticised the voice acting in Deadly Premonition as wooden and unprofessional, but this hollow vocal act kind of added to the game's unusual brand of horror. Doug Boyd's performance as Forrest Kaysen perhaps best exemplifies this, particularly at the game's end as his true motives are further revealed. It's just... wrong how chirpy this guy is. Now that the Director's Cut re-release has hit PS3, we can only hope more players try out this vastly underrated modern classic.
