PREY
With Prey, Arkane set out to make a modern spiritual successor of the System Shock games, and that was abundantly evident in nearly all aspects of the game. From its sci-fi horror setting to its incredibly robust immersive sim mechanics, Prey was an unforgettable experience, but something that was almost equally as important was the world-building. Prey isn’t too focused on traditional storytelling, but it constantly ratchets up its air of mystery and secrets through expert world-building. It also encourages exploration, what with the game constantly encouraging you to dig deeper into Talos I to learn more about the world and its story.
