DEATH STRANDING
Hideo Kojima has a special love for weird, bizarre things, which we saw time and time again in multiple Metal Gear Solid games, but in Death Stranding, where he was completely untethered and creatively unleashed, he took that to new extremes. Death Stranding is full of memorable imagery, densely full of typical Kojima lore and backstories, and constantly keeps introducing players to new questions and revelations that keep increasing the mystery around the story and the setting itself. Of course, the execution can be a little sloppy at times – Death Stranding can be a bit too self-indulgent for its own good – but by and large, there’s plenty to love here.
