Solid shooting mechanics:

Square Enix has released a video showing the shooting mechanics in the game. I have to say, in a way it’s not something that will light the world on fire, but it does look really good. In the footage, our lead protagonist Wei, caps some bad guys in the head and shows everyone how awesome it is to be executing all sort of skills while shooting like that. He also gets shot in the video though, so it’s not like the AI is completely useless.

Actual gameplay footage available before release:

When a developer releases a lot of gameplay footage before release, it’s a sign that they are confident in their game and they aren’t worried about people nitpicking the game to hell. Of course, when a game looks this good, no developer would be skeptical to release a lot of gameplay material and other things before it’s actually out. Check out the awesome walkthrough below which shows our protagonist Wei in action against, well, a bunch of goons.

Perfect way to pass the time before GTA 5:

GTA 5 is something almost everyone is waiting for, and what better way to wait for it than to play this game which has taken a lot of cues from it, and aims to do things in an interesting way. Let me be honest here, this game could turn out to be better than GTA 5, but for now, it’s still an unproven material. Sleeping Dogs promises to provide hours of exhilarating content for gamers to enjoy before the daddy of all open-world games arrives sometime next year. And Watch Dogs, yeah. But that’s probably next-gen anyway.

Graphics will look stunning on a decent PC along with mod support:

Remember Just Cause 2? That game was a totally different beast on a PC, featuring stunning mod support like the Superman mod which allowed you to, well, yeah. Not only that, the visual fidelity and image quality at 1080p was undeniably way superior than the console versions, but that’s a given. Sleeping Dogs seems to follow the same path, whatever footage I’ve seen so far screams to be played on a maxed out setting on a PC. So if you have a decent PC -system requirements here- you will be able to enjoy the game as intended. Console versions seems to run pretty great as well, so no worries there.
