LONG LOAD TIMES
With the newer hardware developers have at their disposal, thankfully, this has become (and will continue to become) much less common, but these issues have cropped up recently enough to still be fresh in our memories. Hardware constraints have often meant that loading into open world games can take torturously long, while developers have also often had to breakup their worlds into several smaller sections rather than them being a single, seamless map, which means there’s even more loading. In such situations, even if the load times aren’t terribly wrong, regularly being faced with loading screens can often be immersion-breaking.
