ENEMY VARIETY
Combat is, of course, a major part of God of War (wouldn’t be much of a God of War game if it wasn’t), and thankfully, it’s also one of the game’s biggest strengths. As good as the combat is though, the game does suffer from one issue that cannot be ignored- there’s not enough enemy variety. Throughout the course of the game, there’s not too many different kinds of enemies that you run across, which means that you end up fighting the same bad guys quite a lot. The core strengths of the combat system ensure that that doesn’t ever get boring, but hopefully, this is something Sony Santa Monica will work on in the sequel.
