10 Things That Will Make God of War: Ascension Better than God of War 3

No sex mini-game

Yes, get rid of this. This is completely disgusting and does not suit Kratos at all. People shouldn’t really want this in God of War: Ascension. Let the gameplay, boss fights and story give the game its identity, not this.

Better pacing

God of War 3 had great pacing, and in fact there was great harmony between exploration and boss fights, which made the game fun to play. They have to build on this and tweak it so much that the pacing is simply spotless in God of War: Ascension. People will replay it plenty of times if they nail it.

More environment variety

God of War 2 had better environment variety than God of War 3 and it’s for a reason. God of War 2 was Santa Monica’s best effort on the PS2 and they built up from God of War nicely to create a great game with plenty of varied environments. God of War: Ascension can be the same if Santa Monica gives it their all, and they have no reason not to because most of the technical things like building an engine was already accomplished with God of War 3. The ball is in your court Santa Monica.

Lots of new weapons

Dual blades with chains are old news and it has to go in God of War: Ascension. We have a feeling that they won’t go because they define Kratos and you can see chains in the new trailer, but it would be nice to see completely new arsenal of weapons for Kratos and which is simply not recycled from the previous games. Something like the Cestus in God of War 3 should do wonders for the game.
