Better character development

Kratos isn’t a likeable character. Everyone knows that. Well, almost everyone. So we would like to see better character development. It will be interesting to see how it turns out since this game takes place when Kratos is not a God of War considering it’s a prequel.

Better enemy variety

While the enemy variety in all God of War games was satisfactory, something was missing. While God of War 3 tried to introduce new enemies, they didn’t stand out compared to the previous ones in the series, and that’s what Ascension needs to change. We need more enemies and not just generic skeletons trying to annoy you at every corner.

Challenging boss fights

Boss fights were simply spectacular in God of War 3. This is again, an undeniable fact. So what can they do in Ascension to improve over it? – Not much, but it would be very interesting to see unique enemies which takes skill and patience to overcome and not just button mashing. God of War: Ascension has the ability to change that simply because it is not God of War 4 and there is room for experiment here.
