PS3 120FPS SUPPORT

Something else Sony promised the PS3 would be capable of was running games at 120 frames per second- which is just ridiculous, especially in hindsight. Even the PS4 Pro, or, hell, the much more powerful Xbox One X, are not capable of that. The 120 FPS promise was a byproduct of Sony talking about their hardware’s theoretical capabilities, which was something they used to do a lot. 30 frames per second remained the standard for console gaming most of that generation – and even this one – and while that was perfectly acceptable, it was a far cry from the 120 frames Sony had suggested the PS3 would be capable of.
