Sharing Games to Vita/Tablets
Sony made vague references to using tablets and the PS Vita as a way to play PS4 content. Whether this involves streaming games or using second-screen gameplay with your PS4, let’s hope it’s as easy as hitting the share button on your console. The Wii U has done well with its no-TV gaming approach, but it’s often fiddly finding how to use the Gamepad as your main screen in each title’s menu individually. Bring on the ease of a unified Share button.
Using Vita/Tablets to Edit Footage
It would be cool if you could share videos and images to your Vita or smartphone/tablet of choice and then use that device to edit the media. Though the PS4 controller will feature a touchpad itself, it doesn’t have a dedicated screen and is likely to lack the precision of tablet screens as a result. Thus, using alternate touch screen devices to edit videos just makes sense.
Syncing Media Playback for Party Chat
It would be cool if you could use the Share button to also sync up places in films with others. It means you could all have a movie night-in long distance, sharing films together from across the world. With party chat as it is now, it wouldn’t be hard to share video experiences online, especially if we can sync our friends up to the same point we’re at in our favourite movies and TV shows.
