SUPER-OBVIOUS TWIST REVEAL
All too often, as games are ending or are in their final acts, they throw these twist “reveals” at us that they think are going to sweep us off our feet and knock the breath out of us- only they don’t. Because these reveals are so obvious, so painfully predictable, they’re not really reveals at all. We all saw them coming hours and hours ago.
Yes, Arkham Knight. We know you’re Jason Todd. We’ve known since before the game even came out. No one was subtle about it. And yes, Bayonetta. We know Cereza is Bayonetta herself. I mean, she looks exactly like her. And yes, Resident Evil 5. We already knew that hooded figure was Jill. You weren’t fooling anybody with that hood.
