YIGA CLAN MERCHANTS (BREATH OF THE WILD)
Hyrule in Breath of the Wild is a pretty dangerous place as it is. Reeling from a century of Calamity Ganon’s destructive reign, it’s home to all manner of beast. It’s also home to the Yiga Clan, who, as former Sheikah who pledged their allegiance to Calamity Ganon, are pretty creepy enemies, especially in terms of how they look and sound. In fact, every so often, they will even disguise themselves as merchants traveling on the road in hopes of ambushing prey, and the moment you speak with them, they’ll reveal their true form and attack you. This doesn’t have nearly as much impact once you know what to expect, but that first time this happened on our very first playthrough, we were all a bit taken aback.
