10. Medal of Honor

Though never a mainstay of PS1 action games, Medal of Honor had its place. Fast forward to 2002 and MoH Frontline has one of the best opening levels in history; a stage that manages to terrify and excite in equal measure. It pushed the boundaries of the kind of cinematic experiences we expected from AAA titles, but the standard set by Frontline has been continually let down by subsequent games in the series, to the point where a Medal of Honor game can barely manage to stay above 60 on Metacritic these days. This is one phoenix that needs to rise from the ashes.
