21. Beyond Good and Evil
Developers really have a knack for raising our hopes and then making it all come crashing down. This happened with the ending for Beyond Good and Evil. Everything was going really well and then suddenly you get hit with this revelation that you are some sort of savior and game then goes on to set itself up for a sequel, at the expense of everything you’ve just accomplished as a character. The best part? At the dawn of a new console generation, the sequel is yet to release.
