#5. STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT II (2005)
2004’s Battlefront was followed the very next year by a sequel, and Battlefront 2 absolutely knocked the ball out of the park. It was a significantly improved experience- not only did it take its predecessors addictive multiplayer mode and make it even better with exciting new additions, it also managed to deliver an exciting, epic campaign that was good enough to make the game a must-buy even if the multiplayer hadn’t been a thing. Talks about “pride and accomplishment” may have smeared the name of Battlefront 2 in recent years (though the 2017 title has, to its credit, seen tons of improvements since launch), but nothing will ever make us forget the stroke of genius that was Pandemic’s 2005 classic.
