#4. STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II: THE SITH LORDS
Knights of the Old Republic 2 was the first game Obsidian Entertainment ever made, and they could not have asked for a better debut. Losing BioWare as the developers for the sequel to their masterpiece was a blow, sure, but Obsidian turned out to be the perfect replacement. KOTOR 2 was a firm believer in the axiom “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, deliver much of the things that made the first game so good, but in many ways, it did bring its own style and flavour as well. The narrative and writing were darker, and the moral choices were more ambiguous, and it all proved to be the perfect way to follow up a game that many believed could not be satisfactorily followed up on.
#4. STAR WARS JEDI: FALLEN ORDER
This is easily the best Star Wars game in years, and the developers have done an excellent job of capturing the appeal of this world. We loved our time with Jedi Fallen Order, and it’s a game that we can see ourselves playing again. The Force is strong here, and it’s good to have Star Wars back, even if there’s still more to do for Fallen Order, and its protagonist, to achieve mastery.
