Tasmania – Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot takes place in the Wumpa Islands located south-east of Australia. The archipelago itself is located near Tasmania, which seems to make sense given that the eastern barred bandicoot is native to it. This same bandicoot is what inspired Crash Bandicoot’s design. Interestingly, the bandicoot prefers to wake up at dusk and seems fairly in-line with Crash’s tendency for naps. As for the Wumpa Islands, though N. Sanity Island’s weather takes cues from more tropical habitats, Wumpa Island tends to be colder and will even see snowfall.
