The Trailers of Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Pre-release trailers for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 continue a trend of some promotional campaigns wherein plot events of the game the media is trying to promote are spoiled by official media itself. The November 7th 2017 Nintendo Direct trailer is one such prime example of containing spoilers for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. While there are as many opportunities in-game of showing Rex and other characters walking around and various cool combat scenes, and even though Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is quite lengthy, since the game isn’t a re-release, it could have stood not to have some major plot revelations spoiled in advance. It can discourage people from engaging trailers when they’re supposed to hype people up.
