Looking for a reference to Batman, specifically Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight? Of course you are! If you watch a movie with one of your confidants, you’ll hear dialogue that sounds very similar to the Joker’s monologue from The Dark Knight. However, instead of using knives because guns are too quick, the character in question is talking about using pies instead of cakes. This is apparently because you can’t savour all the little “taste sensations”. The talk of cake may also be a reference to Catherine, Atlus’s strange platformer for the PS3 and Xbox 360. When it crossed the 200,000 sales mark figure, Atlus announced the numbers via a cake on Twitter. Coincidence? Probably but either way, the cake knight is a thing in Persona 5.
